Roving Maintenance Technician

The Roving Maintenance Technician role is onsite across New Prague, Prior Lake, and Savage, MN. Compensation is $30–$34 per hour. The full-time position is 40 hours per week, generally 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with flexible hours; the technician must reside within 20 minutes of New Prague. The role provides maintenance support at properties managed by Great Lakes Management. The technician maintains building systems, apartments, grounds, and resident security systems across the assigned sites. The work supports safe, functional properties through preventive maintenance, timely work-order completion, inspections, and apartment turns; the position also participates in a three-weeks-off, one-week-on-call rotation.

What you'll do

• Maintain mechanical equipment, emergency systems, building fixtures, and grounds
• perform preventive maintenance using TELS software
• complete work orders
• order supplies and document inventory
• inspect filters, lighting, roofing, HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, and address leaks
• follow building codes and regulatory requirements
• report property conditions and complete inspections
• assist with apartment turns
• maintain grounds and handle trash, sweeping, dumpster areas, and snowplowing
• test resident security systems
• assist with custodial duties
• perform other maintenance tasks as directed.
