The Chaplain & Community Engagement Coordinator role is onsite in Millersburg, OH. Compensation is not specified. The coordinator develops and monitors spiritual mentoring programs while building church, volunteer, donor, and community partnerships. The role leads two weekly chapel services for residents and coordinates volunteers and community support to contribute to residents’ well-being and the organization’s mission.

What you'll do

• Develop, supervise, and monitor spiritual mentoring programs
• identify, vet, train, schedule, and retain volunteers
• build and maintain church and community partnerships
• develop strategies to increase donations and other resources
• lead and coordinate two weekly chapel services
• coordinate service content, speakers, worship elements, and programming
• represent the organization in local faith and community networks
• serve as a contact for churches, volunteers, donors, and partners
• ensure activities align with the organization’s mission and resident needs.

Why this role

Requires a bachelor’s degree in ministry or equivalent, or 3–5 years of related experience and/or training; experience working with children is required, and trauma experience is strongly preferred. Requires active membership in a local church congregation and a valid Ohio driver’s license; occasional travel is part of the job.
