AV Lead Installation Technician

Job overview

The AV Lead Installation Technician position is in person in Lombard, IL, with projects in the surrounding area. The schedule is 40 hours per week over four 10-hour days: Monday–Thursday or Tuesday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Pay is $34–$37 per hour. The role reports to the Field Operations Manager. The lead technician installs and troubleshoots low-voltage systems while guiding technicians and apprentices when a project manager is not onsite. The role supports project delivery by ensuring installation work meets specifications, schedules, and company standards and by communicating field issues and material needs.

What you'll do

• Pull, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling, including category, fiber, speaker, Lutron, and Crestron cabling
• mount devices
• build and lace equipment racks
• and troubleshoot devices. Oversee technicians and apprentices when a project manager is not onsite, monitor progress, communicate field issues and material needs, provide on-the-job training, mentor technicians, and submit project documentation.
