The Medical Equipment Technician is an onsite, field-service-oriented role based in Tonawanda, NY, with a stated transition to Tonawanda from Wheatfield, NY. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is $22–$26 per hour, depending on experience. Health System Services supports healthcare customers by maintaining medical equipment and helping ensure patients receive needed equipment and support. The technician inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, tests, and maintains medical equipment, while coordinating service needs with healthcare facilities and internal teams. The role also prepares equipment for delivery, supports customer education, and maintains accurate service and equipment records to help keep equipment safe and ready for use.

What you'll do

• Inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair medical equipment according to manufacturer specifications
• perform preventive maintenance, testing, and calibration
• maintain equipment logs and service records
• coordinate repairs and parts, provide status updates, approve repair orders, and prepare estimates
• prepare and inspect equipment for delivery or pickup
• drive a company truck to deliver and collect equipment and supplies
• communicate with customers and healthcare facility personnel
• explain safe and effective equipment use
• maintain organized storage areas and assist with inventory and supply orders. A high school diploma or GED and a clean driving record are required
• relevant field-service experience is preferred.
