Automation Assembly Technician

The Automation Assembly Technician role is onsite in Huntsville, AL. Compensation is not specified. DeSHAZO builds custom cranes and tailor-made automation systems and supports them with inspections, repairs, modernizations, and rebuilds. This role assembles and wires custom automation equipment so projects are built accurately and safely. The technician reads schematics and bills of materials, inspects equipment, and identifies design deficiencies or malfunctions that may require correction.

What you'll do

• Perform mechanical and electrical assembly of custom automation equipment, including complex mechanisms, pneumatic routing, electrical components, and control cabinets. Read schematics and bills of materials
• use hand and power tools for layout, drilling, and cutting
• inspect equipment for quality and safety
• identify design deficiencies or malfunctions
• work independently with minimal supervision
• travel and work in unfamiliar environments (25%)
• adjust hours and shifts as needed for installations.
