The Principal Software Engineer (Full-Stack) role is onsite in Kirkland, WA. Compensation is $164,594–$246,788 per year. The role supports development of Echodyne’s next-generation radar software platform for mission-critical security, defense, and automotive applications. This engineer architects and delivers resilient platform components and production-grade services, working across engineering, product, and user experience teams. The role advances prototypes into reliable systems, strengthens testing and observability, and mentors colleagues while incorporating product and field feedback.

What you'll do

• Deliver asynchronous backend services, APIs, and real-time data and event models
• partner with React/front-end teams
• turn algorithms or domain logic into tested, high-performance endpoints
• design for intermittent connectivity, graceful degradation, security, and offline use
• improve CI/CD, testing, instrumentation, and service-level objectives
• mentor peers and contribute to design reviews.
