Baler Operator – Recycling Facility

Job overview

The Baler Operator – Recycling Facility role is onsite in Tucson, AZ. Compensation is $20 per hour, depending on experience. The Fairfax Companies serve Southern Arizona through recycling, landfill and disposal services, roll-off rentals, aggregate materials, and compost products. The operator runs the two-ram horizontal baler and coordinates material flow with the supporting crew to produce consistent, shippable cardboard bales. The role also maintains equipment, troubleshoots operating issues, records production, and keeps the work area safe and organized.

What you'll do

• Operate the two-ram horizontal baler, including startup, shutdown, cycle settings, and bale adjustments
• monitor material flow and coordinate the crew
• remove contamination
• manage wire tying, bale ejection, and staging
• inspect equipment
• perform routine maintenance
• troubleshoot jams and fault codes
• follow lockout/tagout procedures
• maintain production logs and a clean, safe work area.

Why this role
