Maintenance Technician

Job overview

The Maintenance Technician role is onsite in Vero Beach, FL; compensation is $20–$25 per hour. The position reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and supports community maintenance and utility work. The role exists to complete scheduled and assigned repairs and upkeep, helping maintain streets, lighting, storm drainage, utility connections, and community facilities. It also supports hurricane preparation and cleanup when directed.

What you'll do

• Analyze maintenance and repair orders for required skills, materials, labor, equipment, tools, and methods
• prioritize and complete assigned work
• clean and repair street lights
• inspect and maintain street signs
• clear storm sewer grates after rain
• complete handyman work orders
• install or remove hurricane protection as directed
• assist with emergency preparation and debris cleanup, including operating a chainsaw if necessary.
