The Lead Full-Stack Java Solution Architect — Angular / React works 100% onsite from day one in Pittsburgh, PA. Pay is $50–$60 per hour on W-2, all inclusive; the duration is six or more months with a possible extension. The role defines architecture for scalable distributed systems and modern front-end and back-end integration. As the primary technical authority, the architect translates business requirements into enterprise-aligned designs, guides modernization from monolithic systems to cloud-ready architectures, and mentors engineering teams. The role supports reliable delivery through architecture governance, technical decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration.

What you'll do

• Design end-to-end systems combining Java microservices with Angular or React frontends
• modernize monolithic systems into cloud-ready, distributed, cloud-native, or event-driven architectures
• define RESTful API or GraphQL interface contracts
• evaluate platforms and tools
• enforce resiliency, error handling, security, observability, and performance practices
• conduct design and code reviews
• establish CI/CD, source-control, and automated-testing practices
• partner with Product Owners, UX designers, and Enterprise Architects on technical roadmaps
• manage architectural risks and trade-offs
• mentor frontend and backend engineers
• promote approved AI-assisted workflows such as GitHub Copilot for coding, troubleshooting, and testing.
