The Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Live-In Residential Caregiver role is onsite in Wichita, KS. Compensation is $19–$25 per hour. Arrowhead West supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential setting, with rent-free private apartment housing, utilities, and meals during scheduled work hours. The role helps residents build independence and participate in daily life by providing person-centered support at home and in the community. The caregiver assists with personal care and household routines, supports meaningful outings, and works with case managers, direct care staff, and supervisors to follow each person’s support plan.

What you'll do

• Support individuals in community activities such as shopping, movies, ball games, library trips, hobbies, and local events
• teach household skills including laundry, cooking, cleaning, and grocery routines
• assist with bathing, grooming, and mealtime while promoting healthy habits
• provide support aligned with each person’s Person-Centered Support Plan and teach skills that increase independence
• collaborate with case managers, direct care staff, and supervisors and participate in PCSP teams.

Live-in role includes a private one-bedroom apartment with rent-free housing, utilities paid, and meals during scheduled work hours. Sample schedule is five consecutive days, Sunday at 4:00 PM through Friday at 8:00 AM, with scheduled work periods of 4:00–10:00 PM and 6:00–8:00 AM; off duty during designated non-working hours except in emergencies and as outlined in the employment agreement.
