Lead Youth Development Professional

The Lead Youth Development Professional role is onsite in Oxnard, CA, with a Monday–Friday schedule listed as 12:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.; compensation is $20–$22 per hour. The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Oxnard and Port Hueneme provides youth programs and support to young people and families. The role plans, leads, and evaluates activities that promote youth development and participation. It supports safe, engaging club programs through activity planning, member guidance, communication with families and community partners, and assistance with daily site operations.

What you'll do

• Plan, implement, supervise, and evaluate activities in program areas such as education, social recreation, arts and crafts, and physical education
• promote participation and support member registration and orientation
• provide guidance and role modeling
• plan daily, weekly, and monthly activities
• monitor program quality and safety and prepare activity reports
• assist with special events and national programs
• communicate with members, parents, teachers, school staff, and community partners
• assist with safety procedures, site upkeep, and minor youth conflicts
• may be required to drive a Club van.
