Surgery Scheduler

The Surgery Scheduler role is onsite in Reno, NV, with compensation of $19–$25 per hour. Eye Care Professionals’ mission is to provide exceptional eye care and an outstanding experience for every patient. The scheduler coordinates patients’ surgical care from consultation through surgery day, including procedure and appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and communication with patients, physicians, and surgery centers. Cross-training in front-office roles helps the employee learn patient flow and practice operations before moving into dedicated surgery scheduling.

What you'll do

• Coordinate cataract, laser, and specialty procedures
• educate patients about the surgical process
• schedule surgeries and related appointments
• verify insurance benefits and eligibility
• manage patient records
• collect payments and discuss financial responsibilities
• communicate with surgery centers, physicians, and patients
• answer calls
• assist with check-in and check-out during cross-training.
