What you'll do

• Performs echocardiography studies and stress ECHOs.
• Recognizes, calculates, interprets, and analyzes the hemodynamic data served from echocardiography studies.
• High School Diploma or GED, required.
• 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
• Certification Program in lieu of Associate Degree accepted.
• Graduate from a formal Cardiovascular Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, preferred.
• Two years of echocardiography experience, preferred.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer, credentials RDCS or RCS (New Graduate will have 6 months to pass registry), required.
• Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skills validation and competency testing.
• Has knowledge and skills necessary to modify care according to patient(s)’ age.
• Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient(s)’ requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs.
• Considerable verbal ability to effectively communicate observations and input to nursing staff, physicians, and other department staff.
