What you'll do

• Obtain patient histories at check-in
• assist veterinarians with examinations, procedures, surgery, and emergency care
• communicate with clients about procedures and care instructions
• dispense and administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
• collect and prepare samples for laboratory testing and perform diagnostic radiology
• care for hospitalized and recovering surgical patients
• handle and restrain animals safely
• clean and maintain diagnostic equipment
• document care in clinic software.
