Research and Development Technician — Second Shift

The Research and Development Technician — Second Shift role is onsite in Devens, MA, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 2:00 to 11:00 p.m. Pay is $30–$45 per hour, plus a 10% shift differential. Commonwealth Fusion Systems is working to develop commercially viable fusion power plants and advance the transition to fusion energy. This technician supports research and development, product commercialization, and manufacturing by building prototypes, monitoring processes, maintaining equipment, and assisting with testing and process development. The work helps teams prepare products and manufacturing processes for reliable operation.

What you'll do

• Build products and magnet prototypes
• prepare prototypes for evaluation
• monitor processes and troubleshoot production equipment
• set up, operate, and maintain R&D equipment
• assist with new project installation and readiness, testing, specifications, and manufacturing processes
• maintain project records and suggest improvements
• provide technical assistance to internal teams
• maintain a safe work environment.
