Wound Care Treatment Nurse

The Wound Care Treatment Nurse role is onsite in Rocky Mount, NC. Compensation is not specified; the posting describes competitive pay commensurate with experience. The nurse assesses wounds and skin changes, develops and implements care plans, monitors progress, and coordinates with physicians and the wound team. The role also documents care, supervises nursing staff, and educates residents, caregivers, and nursing staff on wound prevention and treatment.

What you'll do

• Assess patients and skin alterations
• develop care plans and implement orders and treatments
• evaluate wound progress
• assess new admissions
• participate in weekly wound rounds
• document wound status and notify physicians and families of changes
• supervise LPNs and nursing assistants
• conduct wound consultations
• monitor residents with wounds
• educate residents, caregivers, and staff.

Why this role

Prior wound care experience is required; wound care certification is preferred. Requires nursing school graduation, valid state nursing licensure, and current CPR certification; RN preferred.
