Home Care Aide

Job overview

The Home Care Aide role is onsite in Irvine, California, providing one-on-one care in clients’ homes. Pay is $18–$25 per hour. Senior Helpers of South OC provides home care to older adults across South Orange County. The aide supports clients’ daily routines, comfort, and safety through companionship, personal care, household assistance, transportation, medication reminders, and documentation. The role also supports clients with chronic conditions and hospice needs as described in the posting.

What you'll do

• Provide companionship, conversation, activities, and engagement
• prepare meals
• assist with light housekeeping, errands, and transportation
• provide medication reminders and maintain daily care documentation
• assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• support clients with dementia, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and hospice needs
• safely use assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts, gait belts, transfer boards, and wheelchairs.
