The Maintenance Technician – VCU Health Offsites – 1st Shift role is onsite in Henrico, VA. Compensation is $25–$31 per hour. The technician performs maintenance and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment at VCU Health offsite locations. The role helps maintain safe, functional facilities for patients and staff by troubleshooting issues, completing repairs, and coordinating specialized work.

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot equipment
• replace plumbing fixtures
• clear drains and pipes
• identify and stop leaks
• rebuild flush valves
• adjust building automation systems for patient and staff comfort
• test and inspect generators
• replace light fixtures, bulbs, and ceiling tiles
• use drawings and manuals to diagnose and repair issues
• coordinate specialized work with vendors and contractors
• perform preventive maintenance on emergency power, lighting, ice machines, refrigerators, HVAC, and other systems
• and inspect buildings and mechanical rooms.

Why this role
