The Line Locator role is onsite in Monticello, AR; compensation is not specified. Summit Utilities provides natural gas service to homes and businesses and emphasizes safe, reliable service to its customers and communities. The role identifies and marks underground utility facilities so excavation work can proceed with reduced risk of damage. It also communicates with contractors and supports assessment of locations where distribution facilities may need repair, modification, or expansion.

What you'll do

• Locate and mark underground distribution facilities using locating equipment, drawings, and utility maps
• drive to excavation sites
• coordinate with contractors and internal personnel to reduce facility damage
• educate contractors on safe digging practices
• report damage or potential danger to the distribution system.
