What you'll do

• Coordinate the Resident Assessment Instrument process under Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA, and other payer requirements
• maintain related policies and procedures
• operate a resident-assessment quality assurance program
• participate in facility surveys and monitor quality reports
• chair designated case management, utilization review, and triple-check meetings
• train staff on MDS completion and use
• ensure assessments accurately reflect resident status and are completed and transmitted on time
• maintain assessment schedules and documentation
• review validation reports and complete modifications or inactivations
• prepare for state and federal audits
• adhere to HIPAA and resident-rights procedures.
