The Implant Process Engineer is an onsite role based in Boise, ID. Compensation is not specified for this position. This role is part of the Micron Boise manufacturing team. This role exists to own the development, optimization, and sustainment of ion implantation processes. It contributes to the team by partnering with equipment, integration, and yield teams to ensure robust process performance and yield stability.
What you'll do
- Own ion implantation process development and sustainment, including process specs, control plans, and inline metric targets.
- Drive yield and defect improvements using SPC, data analysis, and structured root cause techniques.
- Lead process change reviews, risk assessments, and qualifications for new or optimized implant processes.
- Collaborate with equipment engineering, integration, and vendors to align process requirements with tool capability.
- Improve learning speed and cycle time through innovative use of inline metrology.
What we're looking for
- Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, or related field)
- Experience
- 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience with implant process ownership or development
