Middle School Math Teacher in Rochester, NY. This is a full-time, onsite position with a salary range of $50,000 to $64,700 per year. This role exists to help middle school students grow towards being self-guided learners by fostering a deep joy for mathematics and refining their mastery of the subject. Math teachers use a variety of instructional strategies to cultivate the skills and mindset required to persevere and solve problems, preparing students for high school.

What you'll do

• Teach foundational middle school math principles.
• Use in-house CCSS-based Math curriculum and culturally responsive problem-solving activities.
• Motivate students to grapple with problems and think critically.
• Use love of mathematics to foster confidence and engagement.
• Meet weekly with principal/coach to analyze student work and assessments.
• Differentiate instruction for all learners.
• Build positive relationships with students and partner with families.
• Engage in professional development, mentorship, and coaching.
• Participate in school-wide meetings.

What we're looking for

Education

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

Experience

1-2 years experience preferred.
