Clinical Research Assistant / Medical Assistant

Job overview

The Clinical Research Assistant / Medical Assistant role is onsite in Charleston, SC, with compensation of $20–$24 per hour. Alcanza Clinical Research conducts multi-site, multi-phase clinical studies across several therapeutic areas. The assistant supports clinical research site operations by helping coordinators and investigators carry out study activities and related clinical, laboratory, and administrative tasks. Accurate protocol-based support helps the site manage participant visits, study data, and specimen handling in compliance with applicable requirements.

What you'll do

• Assist with basic patient screening and follow-up visits
• document in source clinic charts
• enter data in EDC and answer queries
• obtain vital signs and ECGs
• may perform blood draws
• perform basic protocol-based lab procedures, including specimen collection, centrifuge operation, storage and shipping
• request and track medical records
• help maintain logs and charts
• schedule study visits and send appointment reminders
• assist with recruitment, enrollment, and tracking
• maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.

Why this role
