Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Installer

The Commercial HVAC Sheet Metal Installer role is onsite in Columbus, OH, with compensation of $28–$38 per hour, based on experience, plus performance bonus opportunities. The installer joins Mechanical Optimizers’ Columbus installation team. The role installs commercial HVAC ductwork and related components according to project specifications, codes, and quality standards. It contributes to safe, accurate project completion through coordination with project leadership, warehouse personnel, and other trades.

What you'll do

• Measure, lay out, cut, fit, assemble, hang, seal, and modify commercial sheet metal ductwork
• install ductwork, fittings, supports, dampers, diffusers, grilles, and equipment connections
• interpret mechanical and shop drawings
• verify field dimensions
• coordinate with project leadership, warehouse staff, and other trades
• document project work
• maintain clean work areas
• assist and train helpers or apprentices
• follow safety requirements.
