What you'll do

• Follow coil safety and wire-drawing production procedures
• operate, maintain, and troubleshoot machines
• point rod, weigh coils, and adjust coil cast
• select dies and print tags or labels
• use overhead cranes to load and offload coils
• calibrate and operate micrometers and loupe light
• visually inspect coils and identify nonconformance
• enter production data, scan tags, place labels, cut samples, check drawing soap, use correct wire carriers, and band coils
• follow basic safety procedures.
