The Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Psychiatric Care role is onsite in Saint Louis, MO. The stated pay range is $35–$39 per hour. KVC Health Systems and St. Louis Children’s are partnering on a youth mental health and wellness campus with an acute care hospital and outpatient programs. The RN provides nursing care in an inpatient psychiatric setting, supporting patient safety and treatment through assessments, medication administration, monitoring, documentation, and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. The role also supports daily living needs and a respectful, therapeutic environment for children and teens.
What you'll do
- Conduct nursing assessments and reassessments
- administer medications and review orders
- monitor patient health and medication records
- provide first aid and basic wound care
- collect, document, and report patient data
- obtain vital signs and collect ordered specimens
- coordinate appointments and communicate with pharmacies
- support hygiene and educational groups
- assist with crisis intervention and de-escalation
- collaborate on treatment planning
- maintain safe treatment areas and comply with applicable regulations, including HIPAA.
