Job overview

The Head Athletic Trainer – Juniata High School role is onsite in Mifflintown, PA, with approximately 20 hours per week and a Monday–Friday schedule around 2:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.; some weekend coverage is possible. Compensation is $50–$60 per hour. The position provides athletic training services for Juniata School District during the 2024–2025 school year. The trainer develops and maintains the school’s sports medicine program, evaluates and treats injuries, and supports rehabilitation and injury prevention. The role coordinates with physicians, coaches, strength and conditioning staff, and school personnel to support student-athlete safety and readiness to participate.

What you'll do

• Develop and maintain the school sports medicine program
• provide injury prevention, evaluation, management, treatment, and rehabilitation
• attend scheduled practices and competitions as needed
• coordinate physical examinations and medical referrals with supervising physicians
• collaborate on fitness, nutrition, and conditioning programs
• maintain records and patient encounter documentation
• follow applicable practice rules and the NATA Code of Ethics.
