The Un'ina Navigator role is onsite in Kenai, AK. Compensation is $19.71 per hour. The position supports Primary Care within the Health Systems Division at the Dena'ina Wellness Center. Serving as a single point of contact, the navigator helps un'ina and families understand coverage and access alternate resources for medical care. The role supports the care process by assisting with applications, verifying coverage, processing referred-care claims, and communicating with families about decisions and billing matters.

What you'll do

• Help un'ina explore financial assistance options for medical services
• assist un'ina and families with alternate-resource applications and renewals
• verify insurance, Medicaid, Denali Kid Care, and Medicare for appointments
• reconcile and process vendor invoices
• answer questions about referred care and insurance
• participate in the referred-care workgroup and communicate its decisions.

Why this role

Requires a high school diploma or GED, one year of relevant medical office, alternate-payor, and customer-service experience, and EHR experience. Alaska driver's license and BLS/CPR certification required or obtainable within 90 days of hire.
