What you'll do

• Conduct on-site surveys of Medicare-Medicaid-certified facilities using approved protocols
• prepare through off-site review, facility tours, observation, record review, and interviews
• assess care, consumer rights, and physical plant
• communicate deficiencies
• evaluate plans of correction
• conduct follow-up and monitoring surveys
• and assist with training. Requirements include an RN license, nursing degree, CMS Long-Term Care Basic Training, SMQT certification, and at least two years of recent surveyor experience.
