Insurance Specialist

What you'll do

• Work assigned queues in Epic and HealthCareIP
• process secondary and tertiary claims with appropriate primary EOBs
• code insurance coverage information in the revenue cycle system
• correct and reprocess claim errors
• follow up on unpaid or incorrectly paid claims
• submit corrected claims and appeals
• process online adjustments when available
• respond to payer audits
• review records and resubmit claims with documentation
• research credit balances and process refunds or adjustments
• keep current with payer requirements
• assist with billing inquiries and process improvement.

Why this role

High school diploma or GED, basic math, and basic computer skills are required. Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT coding, medical terminology, and insurance billing is desired.
