Family Advocate

The Family Advocate role is onsite in Midland, TX, with compensation of $47,000 per year. The position travels between the organization’s offices in Midland, Andrews, and Big Spring and provides advocacy and support to alleged victims of abuse, neglect, or violence and their families.

What you'll do

• Provide emotional support, advocacy, guidance, referrals, and case management
• assess needs and coordinate follow-up with families and investigators
• explain victim rights and assist with compensation forms
• participate in the 24-hour on-call rotation
• provide crisis intervention and accompaniment
• liaise with multidisciplinary partners
• attend case-review meetings
• testify when subpoenaed
• document cases
• support training and community collaboration.
