The Carpenter I role is onsite at active Red House Design Build jobsites in Providence, RI, and within roughly 30 minutes of the company’s headquarters, with occasional work in Massachusetts and Southern Rhode Island. The full-time schedule is 40 hours per week plus overtime as required. Pay is $26–$34 per hour. The role is part of the Production department and supports residential remodeling projects. The Carpenter I performs assigned journey-level carpentry work with moderate supervision, contributing to project quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction. The position emphasizes finish work, safe jobsite practices, accurate materials planning, and professional conduct in clients’ homes.

What you'll do

• Complete assigned carpentry tasks including framing, trim, windows, doors, siding, roofing, cabinetry, flooring, drywall, and stairs as needed
• take measurements, make cuts, and read plans
• maintain required tools and track jobsite inventory
• assist with material ordering and pickup
• inspect work for quality and flag issues
• protect client property
• maintain a safe, clean work area and use PPE
• report progress, concerns, and delays
• submit daily timecards and receipts
• attend approved meetings and pursue Carpenter II advancement evaluation.
