IT Identity and Access Management Engineer

The IT Identity and Access Management Engineer role is onsite in Portland, OR, with cash compensation of $120,000–$180,000 per year. Panthalassa is a renewable energy and ocean technology public benefit corporation developing technologies to harness ocean energy. This high-ownership individual contributor role builds and operates the company’s identity plane and its automation. It turns the zero-trust roadmap and compliance requirements into enforceable access controls, helping ensure that people, applications, service accounts, and workload credentials have appropriate access.

What you'll do

• Administer Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace identity, including user lifecycle, groups, and role assignments
• design Conditional Access and context-aware policies
• maintain authentication standards including MFA and passwordless rollout
• automate joiner, mover, and leaver processes
• manage SSO and provisioning integrations using SAML and SCIM
• run access reviews and recertification
• govern service accounts, OAuth grants, API credentials, and secrets
• advance zero-trust controls and own access-control documentation and evidence
• partner on identity threat detection and incident response.
