The Residential and Light Commercial Garage Door Estimator role is onsite in Syracuse, New York, with regular local travel to customer homes, businesses, and job sites. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m. The base salary range is $44,200–$54,000 per year, with additional performance-based commission eligibility. The company installs, services, and repairs garage doors, openers, screens, and related products for customers across Central New York, the Southern Tier, and the Finger Lakes. The estimator consults with customers, evaluates garage door and opener needs, and prepares accurate proposals for repairs, replacements, and installations. The role uses garage door industry experience to help customers choose suitable products and coordinates measurements, orders, scheduling, and job execution with the internal team.

What you'll do

• Conduct scheduled in-home and on-site consultations
• evaluate residential and light commercial garage door and opener needs
• measure openings and assess jobsite conditions
• prepare and present estimates for repairs, replacements, and installations
• explain product options
• follow up on proposals
• coordinate scheduling, ordering, and job execution
• verify measurements, materials, selections, and scope
• prepare and place product orders
• communicate with customers, coworkers, and vendors.
