Director of Warehouse Operations

The Director of Warehouse Operations role is onsite in Baltimore, Maryland, with approximately 30–40% travel across the warehouse network. Compensation is $130,000–$150,000 per year. The role supports an established flooring organization’s nine-location warehouse network. This leader establishes consistent operating standards across locations, improving accountability, efficiency, safety, inventory accuracy, and service while partnering with branch and warehouse leadership.

What you'll do

• Lead warehouse operations across nine locations
• develop consistent procedures and best practices
• assess productivity, accuracy, organization, and service
• standardize receiving, inventory storage, picking, staging, loading, returns, transfers, and material handling
• establish KPIs
• develop warehouse leadership training and accountability
• coordinate with branch, purchasing, sales, installation, and operations teams
• evaluate staffing, equipment, layouts, racking, and workflow
• promote safety compliance
• support warehouse technology and process improvements
• visit locations to evaluate operations and coach leaders
• support acquisitions, integrations, relocations, expansions, and other projects.
