What you'll do

  • Assist the Director of Bands with artistic, administrative, and operational leadership
  • conduct rehearsals and performances and serve as primary conductor for designated ensembles when needed
  • teach undergraduate music courses
  • plan and coordinate performances and events
  • coordinate music selection, drill implementation, and rehearsal preparation
  • recruit prospective students
  • mentor and advise students
  • coordinate equipment, instruments, uniforms, facilities, and transportation
  • assist with purchasing and budgeting
  • maintain program records and assessment
  • collaborate across university departments
  • participate in evening, weekend, holiday, and travel responsibilities.
