Machinist Technician II

Job overview

The Machinist Technician II role is onsite in Tempe, AZ. Compensation is $28–$37 per hour. L&H Industrial machinists produce and repair large, complex components used in mining, energy, and heavy industrial applications. The role uses machining expertise and independent judgment to manufacture or repair precision components from drawings and specifications. By programming, setting up, operating, measuring, and troubleshooting work in a changing job-shop environment, the machinist contributes to safe, accurate production and supports less-experienced machinists.

What you'll do

• Program, set up, and operate CNC machines to manufacture and repair large precision components
• interpret drawings, specifications, and tolerances
• select tooling, workholding, sequences, and setups
• adjust programs at the machine
• measure and inspect finished work
• troubleshoot machining challenges
• maintain a safe, organized work area and equipment
• collaborate with engineering and quality
• assist in developing less-experienced machinists.
