What you'll do

• Train to position, align, and weld parts following blueprints and layout specifications
• use machinery, welding torches, and hand and power tools
• examine work pieces against specifications
• move parts manually or with hoists or cranes
• operate semi-automatic welding equipment
• clean welds
• inspect for defects and measure with weld gauges
• use safety equipment and safe work habits.
