Part-Time Infant Assistant Teacher – Infant A

Job overview

The Part-Time Infant Assistant Teacher role is onsite in Byron Center, MI, with compensation of $16–$18 per hour. The schedule is three days per week in the Infant A classroom. The Learning Experience – Byron Center is seeking support for infant care and early learning. The role works alongside classroom teachers to provide responsive care, support developmental milestones, maintain infants’ routines, and create a safe and nurturing classroom environment.

What you'll do

• Support daily routines and learning experiences
• assist with feeding, diapering, sleep, tummy time, and individualized care
• engage infants through sensory play, music, movement, language, and age-appropriate activities
• support physical, cognitive, language, and social-emotional development
• supervise and provide responsive care
• maintain individual schedules
• build relationships with children and families
• collaborate with teachers and center leadership
• maintain a clean, safe, organized classroom
• follow Michigan childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
