What you'll do

• Examine newborns and children and monitor their health and physical development
• diagnose conditions using medical history and symptoms
• assess and treat injuries and illnesses
• recommend referrals when appropriate
• advise parents on diet, exercise, and disease prevention
• recommend and interpret lab tests
• administer vaccines and prescribe medications
• maintain confidential medical records
• participate in professional development.
