Residential Weekend IDD Care – Overnight Part-Time

The Residential Weekend IDD Care – Overnight Part-Time role is onsite in Charlotte, NC. Compensation is $16 per hour; the posting notes that sleeping time during shifts is unpaid. InReach provides supports and services for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. The role supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a residential home by assisting with daily living, meals, personal care, and activities. It also helps residents build healthy social habits and supports their safety and well-being through documentation and medication monitoring.

What you'll do

• Teach and assist with meal planning and cooking
• assist with household cleaning, personal care, and hygiene
• provide community recreational activities when available and participate in in-home leisure activities
• document activities
• help residents develop healthy social habits
• dispense medication and monitor dosages
• drive a full-size passenger van. Schedule: Friday 6 p.m.–11 p.m., Saturday 7 a.m.–11 p.m., and Sunday 7 a.m.–6:30 p.m.
• every other weekend, with overnight sleep stays Friday and Saturday required.

Why this role

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, age 21 or older, and at least six months of verifiable relevant experience. Prior group-home experience is preferred.
