The Automotive Fabrication Technician role is onsite in Romulus, MI, with hourly pay of $24–$28. Apex Placement and Consulting is recruiting for an automotive services company whose vehicle projects include fabrication, diagnostics, testing, and failure analysis. This technician fabricates and modifies vehicle parts, diagnoses mechanical concerns, and supports vehicle evaluations and tests. The work contributes project findings and documentation to the team and its customers; travel and overtime may be needed as project demands require.

What you'll do

• Fabricate automotive parts and modify vehicles to project requirements
• use welding and metalworking tools
• diagnose vehicle concerns and identify mechanical or system failures
• support vehicle design evaluation and failure analysis
• conduct vehicle reviews and communicate findings to the team and customers
• assist with live or recorded vehicle-test demonstrations
• complete project documentation and reports
• travel and work overtime as needed.
