Tax Data Specialist

The Tax Data Specialist role is onsite in Orlando, FL, with an in-office schedule of 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Eastern; compensation is $28–$34 per hour. The position is part of the Accounting Department and supports multi-state sales and use tax compliance. The role maintains reliable master data and helps ensure tax filings, reconciliations, exemption records, and related compliance processes are accurate and completed on time, strengthening data integrity and internal controls.

What you'll do

• Extract, organize, and reconcile data from ERP, Avalara, and other systems
• maintain approved customer, vendor, and item master data
• prepare and file state and local sales and use tax returns
• reconcile tax activity, returns, payments, and general ledger accounts
• maintain exemption certificates
• support tax notices, registrations, and audits
• prepare compliance and data-quality reports.
