Field Technician Intern – HVAC and Building Automation

The Field Technician Intern role is an onsite, paid internship in Indianapolis, IN, with flexible start and end dates from May through August 2027. Interns must be available for up to 40 hours per week for at least 10 weeks. Envelop Group’s Quality Air Service provides customized HVAC and building automation solutions. The intern learns through mentoring, learning activities, and field work while assisting experienced controls technicians with building automation installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance. The work supports system performance and efficient on-site service.

What you'll do

• Assist experienced controls technicians with installation, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of building automation systems
• learn to use software, tools, and blueprints
• help gather materials and coordinate on-site work
• learn to monitor system performance, analyze data, and identify improvement opportunities
• perform other duties as assigned.
