The Residential Assistant — Community Housing role is onsite in Honolulu, HI. Compensation is not specified. Mental Health Kokua’s community housing program supports residents’ recovery and progress toward self-directed living. The assistant mentors residents and helps them build daily living skills, maintain tenancy, and work toward service-plan goals. The role also supports household operations, resident safety and supervision, recovery-oriented activities, medication monitoring as appropriate to the level of care, and accurate clinical documentation.

What you'll do

• Mentor residents in daily living skills and tenancy
• teach activities of daily living such as cooking, grooming, and communication
• respond to emergencies and report incidents
• plan and provide activities aligned with residents’ interests
• assist with household operations and arrange repairs as indicated
• support recovery and service-plan goals
• document services and progress
• supervise residents and observe medication self-administration as appropriate.
