Application Scientist

The Application Scientist role is onsite in Saint Joseph, MI, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Compensation is not specified. The role supports LECO’s laboratory instrument customers and sales team. The scientist provides technical application support and helps develop, demonstrate, and validate analytical methods for LECO instruments. The work connects customer needs with product, research, sales, service, and production teams while supporting quality and technical knowledge across the organization.

What you'll do

• Provide instrument application recommendations, technical support, and troubleshooting
• develop analytical methods and validation data
• prepare application notes and customer reports
• demonstrate and maintain instruments
• revise standard operating procedures
• deliver technical presentations and hands-on training
• support ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and ISO 17034:2016 compliance
• collaborate across product management, R&D, sales, service, and production.
