The Registered Nurse (RN) — Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF) role is onsite in Cleveland, OH, with part-time evening shifts consisting of two 12-hour shifts. Pay is $36 per hour. Applewood Centers provides behavioral health, social services, and education to children, adolescents, and families in Northeast Ohio. The nurse supports residential behavioral health care by collaborating with clients, families, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, and case managers. The role includes assessing treatment needs, providing behavioral health education, documenting observations and interventions, and leading day-to-day department activities as shift charge nurse.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioners, therapists, case managers, clients, caregivers, and significant others
• provide behavioral health education and behavioral management strategies
• assess additional treatment needs and link clients with services
• address physical health aspects of care, including weight, nutrition, medication education, and medication side effects, risks, and benefits
• provide community resources
• lead department activities as shift charge nurse
• meet independently with clients for referrals and triage
• document observations and interventions.

Why this role
