What you'll do

• Handle and process specimens
• analyze, report, and maintain patient test records
• test proficiency samples
• follow quality-control policies and document calibrations and maintenance
• identify issues affecting test performance or reporting
• document corrective actions
• perform assigned routine and complex tests
• calibrate and maintain instruments
• verify results and review reports for errors
• communicate with nurses and physicians
• help maintain supplies and quality-control standards.
