Plating Operator I

The Plating Operator I role is onsite in Orchard Park, NY. Pay is $20–$23 per hour. McGard manufactures precision-engineered automotive security products and components. The operator maintains plating processes and applies plating to parts according to quality requirements. The role supports production by handling scheduled orders, operating plating lines, checking parts and process requirements, and following chemical-handling and safety procedures.

What you'll do

• Maintain scheduled orders at the line and retrieve parts from storage
• start draw ovens and verify temperatures and speeds
• add plating solutions and refill tanks as needed
• operate electroplating, chromate, or passivate lines
• inspect parts against quality standards
• follow thickness and post-plating requirements
• complete preventive maintenance and checklists
• assist with supply requisitions, inventory, and training new employees.
