The Deputy Construction Manager – Transit, ANS role is onsite in Washington, DC, with compensation of $160,000–$200,000 per year. The deputy supports day-to-day construction management across complex transportation and capital infrastructure projects in the Mid-Atlantic. The role coordinates design and construction reviews, project controls, contract administration, field activities, stakeholder communication, and closeout to help deliver projects within scope, schedule, budget, and quality requirements.

What you'll do

• Support the Construction Manager in overseeing construction activities
• coordinate design reviews, plan approvals, and constructability reviews
• prepare authorization documents and project correspondence
• maintain budgets, schedules, and progress reports
• review subconsultant and contractor work and recommend invoice approvals
• assist with contract administration under transit agency standards and federal funding requirements
• track cost and schedule performance
• prepare monthly status reports
• review contractor submittals and RFIs
• coordinate field visits and inspections
• support closeout, punch lists, and as-built documentation
• evaluate scope changes and assist with change orders
• conduct briefings and stakeholder meetings
• coordinate with regional agencies on approvals and permits
• monitor scope, cost, schedule, and quality
• support training and mentorship of junior staff.
